Wedding Invitation

All done and and send to printer!
We decided to keep it classic b&w, but the names and date in the middle may be done in raised silver ink.
I used Sakura Micron Pens #005, 02,05,08 on archival Strathmore Bristol Vellum paper.

I am back!!

Hallo everyone!
I am back!!!
I haven't posted since August!!! Seven long months!
Where have I been? Some of you know, I made a major transition in my life and for a long list of reasons have relocated my family from Brooklyn, NY to Netanya, Israel.
Transferring children to school, packing, organizing, tooons of paperwork and tens of meetings and two long months of chronic cough "pampered" with two sets of antibiotics, due to stress and climate change.
This experience would need a blog of it's own!
However, I am back to drawing and my first official assignment is designing a wedding invitation for my brother in law, who shall walk under the chupah two months from now. BS"D
I had made some sketches of his lovely bride. It has not been decided yet if the image will stay black and white or will be colored in. I played with it using  Gimp, but would like to try watercolor as well..
I am still new to painting using computer graphics. I know much more could be done.. We will see where this will go. But the Black and white is just classic!
I am really happy with it.

Enjoy!

Here is a sneak peak :

Flying a Fish, in my "Perfect Town of Imperfections"

I am planning to post forever the results of my July Mural Marathon, of doing 3 murals in 3 weeks,( the "Jerusalem Wall" being one of them), but that will have to wait.

"Imperfection" is the theme of IF fo this week.
In my perfect art world, imperfection is the key to creativity.
The more it seems impossible or most likely to come out imperfect, the more I wanna do it!
In real life I am a perfectionist. I feel I can't create anything until the house is spot clean and my desk uncluttered, and all my children's needs are met, so I can have peace and quiet to do my work.. Yeah, well, keep on dreaming right..My desk looks uncluttered for less then 24 hrs and then back to style ala "Einstein".

Reminds me of the Wallgreens commercial of the town call "Perfect". Don't you love those? :)

In My "Perfect" town of imperfections, the happy little girls with checkered hats and ruby red Birthday Party dresses fly Gold Fish in afternoon golden starry skies..

What magical things are happening in your "Perfect Town of Imperfections" ?

This second image was enhanced by using GIMP program for the first time.
I have no idea how I did it........... Have to learn more about it..
